Exclusive to the Xbox, this ultra-lightweight Mexican supercar was made exclusively available on Wednesday via Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One. As well as exclusive access in advance of its real world production later this year, the VUHL 05RR delivers gamers a feel of the thrill and extreme dynamism of the performance supercar in the virtual world.
Along with the chance to test this carbon-bodied thoroughbred on circuits from across the globe, in all weather conditions and environments, VUHL says attention in the game has been “paid to all elements of the vehicle’s unique DNA, from the interior to the chassis response, handling and engine characteristics”.
Who needs reality? Gamers have also been having a hand in the reception of the real thing, as Iker Echeverria, VUHL Technical Director, explains: “We have beaten all of our rivals at various track demonstrations with our latest iteration, and we really want to share this remarkable lightweight driving experience with the world. This is where Forza Motorsport comes in - available globally and at no extra cost, gamers have no excuse not to try the new VUHL. I hope it is enjoyed as much as we loved working on the development of the car!”
Ready to give the Speedtail a run for its money, the VUHL 05RR goes from 0 to 60mph in 2.7 seconds, all from a 2.3-litre Ford EcoBoost engine paired with a 6-speed sequential gearbox. VUHL’s chassis encompasses an ultra-lightweight body with a carbon fibre and aluminium combination structure, which creates an ultra-versatile car with over 600 bhp/tonne.
