Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI DPF problems hitting your pocket?

Why are Ford Kuga's so popular?

When Ford brought out the Kuga, it ticked so many boxes for new owners - Size, drive-ability and price tag to name a few. There have been 3 generations of Ford Kuga's (Or Ford Escape as it is known over the pond) since they were put into production in 2008.

Using Ford's famous range of Duratorq Diesel engines, the most commonly delivered are the 136 PS and 163 PS variants. However, later on in the production life some other variants were introduced such as the 150 PS and 180 PS versions. Of course, in the modern Diesel world of motoring these do not come with a very common issue.

Ford Kuga vehicles are afflicted with the all too common DPF problems and warning lights. Unfortunately for the owners, quotes from their local garage or main dealer are coming in with an extortionate price tag.

DPF filter systems are not made to last a lifetime, they are a replacement part with great expense! A permanent solution is a DPF Removal procedure. By removing the DPF system from the vehicle we can permanently stop DPF issues and the vehicle will also benefit from increased performance and fuel efficiency. Here at Avon Tuning, we have spent many years of research and development into perfecting DPF removal.

How does DPF Removal work?

There are two aspects to the DPF Removal service:

The troublesome filter is removed from the exhaust system, the original DPF outer casing remains in place and only the internal filter is removed, the vehicle will still appear to have a DPF fitted and will appear unmodified.

The Engine Management System is remapped (reprogrammed) and all the DPF structures carefully removed from the software, this will prevent the vehicle from sensing the missing filter and will prevent future regeneration and warning lights.

DPF Removal is a permanent solution to DPF problems and DPF issues. We back this up with a lifetime warranty against any DPF related warning lights, limp mode or fault codes.

* Our DPF Removal service is sold for off-road use only. Removal of a DPF will almost invariably make your vehicle illegal for use on a public road. This is not legal advice and if you are unsure if this applies to your vehicle, please seek further advice.
