If it's as good as you say, why is it with Avon Tuning?
Well, that's an easy question to answer.....there's always room to unleash a vehicles true potential! We have a lot of regular returning petrol head customers here at Avon Tuning and this was no exception for this stunning GT-S.
What did the owner request?
As with most petrol heads, a Stage 1 Remap is simply not enough. The owner requested "as much oomph as possible"...no problem leave it with us! We discussed with the owner that with our Stage 2 Tuning package, which compromises of some exhaust work and in-house Tuning using our Dimsport 4WD Rolling Road/Dyno set up, we can safely extract some spectacular results - we certainly did not disappoint.
We have been working with Supersprint Exhausts as one of our Performance Partners for some years now due to the high quality exhaust upgrades they produce mixed with the incredible gains in exhaust tone on offer. For this reason, they were our go-to for the GTS Stage 2 Tuning package. We installed the Supersprint 722311 Downpipe De-CAT system which replaces both catalytic converters to help free up exhaust flow and displace the heat and gases quicker. And of course, most importantly, opens up the noise from the engine dramatically to exaggerate that V8 roar!
Now for the bit you have been waiting for - the results;
From the install day of the parts upgrades to the final day of Tuning we extracted from the already impressive GT-S an extra 90HP and 220NM Of Torque bringing the the total power to a staggering 609.7HP and 873.9NM of Torque! Great work and great results from both our Technicians and also team of Software Engineers who made this project complete and of course who produced the outcome of the huge grin on our customers face.
